"Dear Maria
Today, we celebrate not just your graduation, but the remarkable journey you’ve taken to become the Nurse Practitioner you were always meant to be. One of your greatest strengths has been your ability to thoughtfully incorporate feedback into your academic life and clinical practice. That openness to growth and your commitment to continuous improvement have truly set you apart. These qualities are, without a doubt, the hallmarks of an exceptional and compassionate medical provider.
l will always remember our one-on-one meetings—those honest, heartfelt conversations during moments of self-doubt and imposter syndrome. I reminded you, time and again, that you belong in the NP program at UTampa. I’ll never forget the day when something shifted—when you finally believed it for yourself. Your dedication to others is unmatched. Whether it was showing up for your classmates, who found in you both a kind heart and a thoughtful mind, or going above and beyond during our medical mission. You have always led with care. In a world that too often rewards arrogance and self-interest, you choose the road less traveled. You chose kindness. You chose compassion. You chose to serve.
Maria, you have not only achieved an academic milestone—you have stepped fully into your calling. The empathy, strength, and resilience you carry will impact every patient you care for—perhaps in ways they’ll never be able to articulate but will always remember.Congratulations again. You’ve made the faculty at UTampa all incredibly proud."
